The Typhoon is a great light.

The Typhoon is a great flashlight for work/EDC carry. I've been carrying it every day for about a year now, with no issues. I work as an EMT so being able to program it to come on at the lowest setting works great as a penlight. I've had no need to use the strobe in a defensive manner yet, but it has been great for getting the attention of other motorists while on the way to a call. Insights rates the light at 80 lumens but it's more like 100 (it has a brighter "hot spot" than my buddie's Fenix which is rated at 225 lumens). The fit and finish on this light is phenomenal. I really can't think of any negative issues I've had with this light. It's a bit pricey, but it's a light that will last the rest of your life. The only reason the light didn't get 5 stars is because I didn't like the lanyard that came with the light, and for $170.00 the addition of a belt pouch would of been great.
